libabigail-dev software package provides ABI Generic Analysis and Instrumentation Library (development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libabigail-dev
libabigail-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libabigail-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libabigail-dev *
You will get with libabigail-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
